I wrote my first book in the fourth grade. It was about shapeshifting wolves in Alaska, most likely inspired by the Animorphs series. I wrote my second book in fifth grade which was a 150 page work of fanfiction for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a TV series I was a huge fan of at the time. That’s how cool of a kid I was.

It sounds like an overachiever but it’s important to note that I’m not a published author. It was never my driving force. I used to wake up every morning before school and write and I’ve studied writing ever since.

But that was me as a child. I am now a marketer by day and a creative writer by night, weekend, and really any time outside of my day job. This means I work on writing to some degree virtually all the time.
